Thanks buddy, really useful. But if "0.0416" change to "0.0418", the final result would be more closer to the output from Canopy.

This script changes the value of gnome-mouse-properties -> Touchpad -> "Enable mouse clicks with touchpad" when executed. It can be run with a keyboard combination set in gnome-keybinding-properties (if you place the script inside /usr/bin as administrator or root you won't need to put the path or location of the script before its name. Remember to make the script executable):

mode="$(gconftool-2 -g /desktop/gnome/peripherals/touchpad/tap_to_click)"

if [ $mode == "true" ] ;
then
gconftool-2 -s -t bool /desktop/gnome/peripherals/touchpad/tap_to_click false
else

In light of the news that T61 received new venture capital, I have feeling that it's out their control. Accepting the money meant they had to move in this direction and couldn't look back. But maybe that's just me being optimistic.

The sad thing is, they turned literally thousands of loyal users into implacable enemies. You'll never have a bigger enemy than someone you betrayed who was once your friend. They either didn't realize that and didn't care.

I found you on uvumi.com when I didn't know you on t61. Uvumi could work out to be a very nice replacement for t61. Responsive admin(s) and a nice clean interface. It's definitely lacking a few features that t61 had, but it's also newer. I think it may be the way forward for those of us who don't like the new t61. This is completely from a listener perspective, as I'm too terrible to be an artist ;)
